About Monarch Joinery

The home of quality craftsmanship and unique bespoke joinery.

We have been creating exceptional bespoke and specialist joinery for more than 35 years, producing work in-house in Ipswich for private individuals, architects, interior designers and building contractors who need something made properly rather than adapted from a standard product.

Services

Designed around the property, not around stock sizes

We make unique one-off joinery for listed buildings, bespoke designs for private developments and residences, and specialist interior work where the right proportions, materials and finish matter.

01

Windows for period, listed and one-off properties

Handmade sash box windows, casements, bays and replacement timber sections produced to suit the property, proportions and detailing required.

02

Entrance doors and internal joinery

Purpose-made doors, frames and glazed entrance sets designed around the opening, the hardware and the finish needed for the project.

03

Staircases and structural joinery

Oak and hardwood staircases, balustrades and feature pieces made with the same care as the rest of the joinery package.

04

Fitted furniture, cabinetry and specialist commissions

Bathroom and kitchen furniture, media units, cabinetry, reception desks and custom one-off joinery for homes and selected interiors.

Private clients

A clearer route for private individuals looking for bespoke work.

We want to speak more directly to private individuals as well as trade partners, especially where the property is older, the joinery is unusual or an off-the-shelf answer would simply be the wrong fit.

  • Everything is bespoke and made to order in our Ipswich workshop.
  • We specialise in joinery that cannot simply be bought off the shelf.
  • Our work includes bespoke windows, doors, staircases, bathroom and kitchen furniture, and specialist one-off commissions.
  • The emphasis is on workshop-made joinery and a quality finish from start to finish.

Selected work

A small sample from the workshop

Some of Monarch Joinery's output is completed for contractors and partners, so not every commission can be shown publicly. What is shown here is a selective sample of workshop-made joinery.

How we work

Clear from first conversation to finished joinery

The process is kept straightforward so clients know what is being made, why it is being made that way and what happens next, with quality and finish carried through from start to finish.

01

Initial conversation

Tell us about the property, the opening, the room or the brief. If you have drawings, we can work from those. If you only have an idea, we can talk it through and help shape the next step.

02

Design and specification

We agree the practical details, materials and finish, making sure the joinery is right for the building, the intended use and the overall character of the project.

03

Workshop manufacture

Everything is made in-house in Ipswich using traditional bench joinery backed up by modern machinery where accuracy and consistency matter.

04

Final workshop finish

Each piece is checked, finished and prepared in the workshop with the same care as the making itself, so the joinery leaves us in the condition it should.

Start a project

If you have a property, an opening, a staircase or a room that needs bespoke joinery, let's talk.

Send the basics through and the enquiry can be channelled to the right person for quotation, specification and next steps.

Useful if you already have drawings and dimensions, or even just a rough outline of the work you need made.
